Education - planning stage
The proposal provides bespoke, innovative and fit for purpose temporary school accommodation for pupils and staff of Castlebay Community School, Castlebay and Eoligarry Primaries, associated early years and Barra Children`s Centre during the construction of the new Barra and Vatersay Community Campus. This initial decant phase will facilitate a swift construction programme for the overarching community campus project, allowing existing education facilities to be demolished early and infrastructure upgrades to take place. The vision for the proposal reaches beyond the brief of a temporary school building- importantly the accommodation will be flexible and easily repurposed to meet the needs of the community in the future.
